ABOUT

The show is a celebration of Bob Dylan's songs through music and art performed by an all-star cast of musicians local to each region (and some traveling). In addition to art displays, the event consists of an acoustic set performance by various solo and duo performers and an electric set performed by a backing band with guest stars sitting in.

BRIEF HISTORY

The International Bob Dylan Tribute Festival started on May 24th, 2006 at Denver, Colorado's historic Oriental Theater and successfully continues today (12th annual in 2017). The festival is the vision of Americana singer-songwriter Dewey Paul Moffitt who originally started the event as a 65th birthday celebration in honor of the legendary Dylan, now approaching 76. Moffitt, an original and recurring guest performer on Denver's Last Waltz Revisited, has since fronted several Bob Dylan cover acts (currently Garcia Van Dylan), and continues to host his annual all-star celebration honoring the songs of the recent Nobel Prize winner. Hundreds of internationally touring artists have performed in the event which has also benefited various music related charities over the years.

The festival features a Bob Dylan themed art show in the lobby and walls of the venues. In addition to the Oriental shows, the event has been held in various venues around the Denver and Boulder, Colorado area and a few touring versions have ensued.

In 2017, the festival will expand for the first time to Ireland, the United Kingdom, and other parts of the U.S.
